About

Ross runs a venture investing and innovation consulting firm called Red Idea Partners. He is surrounded by great thinkers at his firm, bringing interesting and valuable ideas to life. He lives in Colorado with his wife, Peggy and two sons, Emmett (10) and Grant (4).

Emmett likes to build things out of duct tape, is an amazing gymnast, and Grant likes to play “Let’s think about the Animal” during dinner. Ross’s wife Peggy is an entrepreneur herself, running Creative Alignments, a 20 person recruiting firm. Ross’s mom, Gloria, is a retired kindergarten teacher, and his father, Bill, is a retired professor, banker and financial advisor. Ross and his sister Tracy still like to spit out their tongues at each other like they did when Ross was nine.

Ross’s company invests in promising early-stage companies, and he has helped dozens and dozens of entrepreneurs plot their strategies and innovate. Some of those companies, like Bhakti, Olomomo Nut Co. and TalkBox, have become well established and keep on growing! Ross has a degree in Political Science from Stanford University. Ross also proudly serves on the Advisory Board for the St. Vrain Valley School District’s Innovation Center. As an entrepreneur himself, his advice to others starting companies is to stay really tenacious and to keep one’s sense of humor. Oh and also try to pick a really good idea too… Happy venturing!
