About Ross Shell
Ross Shell is the Founder and CEO of Red Idea Partners, an innovation consulting and ventures firm. At Red Idea, creative thinkers bring interesting and valuable ideas to life.
Ross lives in Colorado with his wife, Peggy, and their two sons, Emmett and Grant. Peggy is also an entrepreneur, running Creative Alignments, a recruiting firm. Emmett likes to build things out of duct tape and is an amazing gymnast. Grant likes to play “let’s think about the animal” during dinner. Ross’s mom, Gloria, is a retired kindergarten teacher, while his father, Bill, is a retired professor, banker, and financial advisor. Ross and his sister, Tracy, still like to spit out their tongues at each other like they did when Ross was nine.
Ross has a degree in Political Science from Stanford University. He also proudly serves on the Advisory Board for the St. Vrain Valley School District’s Innovation Center. As an entrepreneur himself, his advice to others starting companies is to stay really tenacious and to keep one’s sense of humor. Oh, and also try to pick a really good idea…Happy venturing!
